Echo GT225 String Trimmer
This is just a simple inspection that I do when I purchase pre-assembled grass trimmers. I didn’t mention it in the video, but you would perform the same kind of inspection after purchasing a pre-assembled lawnmower.

that filter looks like a breather for the gas tank.
@MrGiantstpss It is a breather for the gas tank. My parts list describes it as a “vent assembly.”
I go thorough the same exact inspection ! and the first time I bought an Echo trimmer (srm 225) when I ran it the head fell off. But then I didn’t like the power and I took it back for the SRM 230 lol thumbs up man !
Thanks! I do the same thing with pre-assembled lawnmowers.
nice trimmer!
@TractorWorld I wanted something that would last this time!!! $174.50 is the most I have ever spent on a string trimmer.
@AllSmallEngines thats whay you paid? thats a great deal!!
@TractorWorld I got it from Home Depot – $159.00 before sales tax at 8.75%.
@AllSmallEngines nice!
@AllSmallEngines No problem dude, and cool !
just bought 1. it is amazing. heavy duty
@MIketucky350 I haven’t had a chance to use mine yet, but the 21.2cc engine does feel strong!!
i would spend a litlle more and get a straight shaft much better
@th19940305 For $20 more I could have gotten an Echo SRM225.
U should have i have a srm210 thats 5 years old and i use it about 3-10 times a week and all ive done to is to keep it going good is clean the muffler out. It has so much power even after 5 years of use. i love echoe’s
